What is a Carer Training Workshop?
A Carer Training Workshop is a dedicated Carer Training program designed to provide education and support to Carers in matters related to caring for a person with disability.
Who can attend Carer Training Workshops?
Carer Training Workshops are open to Carers/Parents of NDIS Participants who have Capacity Building > Improved Daily Living funds available in their plan. Subject to NDIA approval.
What are the benefits of attending a Carer Training Workshop?
Attending a Carer Workshop offers a range of benefits, including training on how to prevent Carer burn-out.
Are meals provided at Mandala Carer Workshops?
Meals are provided at a cost to the Carer. This is not NDIA funded.
How long does a Carer Training Workshop last?

What can I expect during a Mandala Carer Training Workshop?
Our Carer Workshops are tailored to promote Carer Training and educate Carers on preventing Carer burn-out.
Are Mandala Carer Training Workshops covered by NDIS?
This depends on the NDIS plan of the person you are caring for. There must be a budget available in Capacity Building > Improved Daily Living.
What is STA respite?
STA respite, or Short-Term Accommodation respite, is a temporary stay designed to provide a break for primary caregivers. STA is designed to help informal supports continue their caring role. It is one option that provides participants and their informal supports time apart.
Who is eligible for STA respite?
STA respite is available to individuals with a NDIS plan that includes funding for short-term accommodation. Eligibility depends on individual needs and circumstances. You may be eligible for STA Respite by using your core budget flexibly, however, this is all subject to approval by the NDIS. Participants who live alone or in a supported independent living arrangement, do not qualify for STA Respite, as they already have time apart from family and informal supports.
How long can I stay in STA respite?
The duration of your stay can vary based on your NDIS plan and individual needs. The maximum stay allowed by the NDIS is 14 days at a time and maximum of 28 days per year. This is all subject to your plan and is not guaranteed.
Is the accommodations accessible?
Yes, our accommodation is fully accessible, with features such as wheelchair-friendly entrances, accessible bathrooms, and other necessary modifications to ensure comfort and safety. Please speak with our team.
How do I book an STA respite stay?
To book an STA respite stay, please contact us directly at hello@mandalacaregroup.com.au or complete the form below and our team will be in touch. All STA Respite is subject to meeting the NDIS requirements.
Is transportation provided?
Please discuss any transportation needs with our team. The NDIS does not allow for transport to and from your STA Respite accommodation to be included.
